Agustí Egea-Àlvarez

Agustí Egea-Àlvarez, male, 1987. Lecturer, foreign teacher of School of Electrical Engineering, Shanghai University of Electric Power. Academic position (reviewer) at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. After earning his PhD at the Technical University of Barcelona, he worked at the China Electric Power Research Institute and Siemens Gomesa Renewable Energy UK. In 2018, he returned to academia as a lecturer and worked on several world-first projects, including the first grid-connected wind farm, the black start-up of a distributed energy resource, and the Belgian grid formation demonstrator, which is expected to be completed in 2025. His research focuses on achieving net zero emissions, reducing the carbon footprint of electricity production, and improving the efficiency, resilience, and reliability of power systems. The integration of power electronics into power grids and the control of future power networks. He has received several projects and scholarships from the British government.
