Hong Yue

Hong Yue, female. Associate Professor, foreign teacher of School of Electrical Engineering, Shanghai University of Electric Power.PhD in Systems and Control Engineering from the Centre for Wind Energy and Control, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Strathclyde, UK. From 1996 to 2000, he was an assistant professor and associate professor at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests are modeling, control and optimization of complex systems, mainly applied to offshore renewable energy systems. He has extensive research experience in the following topics: model development of dynamic and networked systems, model-based system analysis, advanced control and optimization of complex systems, optimization and robust experimental design. He has worked as a principal investigator or co-investigator on several UK research institutes and EU-funded research projects. Dr. Yue has published more than 100 academic journal papers in the field of systems and control engineering. Peer-reviewed conference papers, co-authored books, and book chapters have also been published. He is a senior member of IEEE. Since 2017, he has served as Vice President of the China Automation and Computing Society in the UK. He has held leadership positions in more than 60 international conferences, including technical project chairman, finance Chairman, international project committee member, and deputy editor. He has served on the editorial boards of top systems and control journals, including Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Control Applications: Engineering and Industrial Systems, and as guest editor of the IEEE International Journal of Control Systems, Robustness and Nonlinear. Invited to join the IFAC AI Engineering Applications Award Committee (2021-2023) and the IFAC Process Control Journal Award Committee (2017-2020).
