Guo Xian, from the Class of 2006
Guo Xian, from the Class of 2006, obtained a master's degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a doctoral degree from Iowa State University in the United States. She has been recognized as an Excellent Graduate of Shanghai, an Exemplary Student at the university, and an Outstanding Student Leader, and received the First-Class Academic Scholarship, Shanghai Municipal Scholarship, National Scholarship for Graduate Students, and Full Scholarship for PhD studies. Currently, she serves as the Director of Research and Development for Power Systems at GE Global Research. She has published multiple high-quality journal and conference papers and holds many patents. Guo Xian is a senior member of the IEEE Association and has previously worked at the United States Department of Energy National Laboratories and New York State Electric and Gas, gaining extensive research and industry experience in the energy sector.
